Deathtrap by Dana Marton

For a little community, Broslin Creek has a high murder rate. And a police force that is transitioning from single to married. But what makes Marton's stories worthwhile is the interesting facets she includes. In this story, Sophie is a transplant patient and Marton provides a fascinating look into the issues a transplant patient faces.
Don't worry about reading the series in order. While the characters overlap, there really isn't much interaction. Each story pretty much stands alone.
