Posted by noumena12 at 5:44 PM 3 comments

Mid-Event Survey:
1. What are you reading right now? Just finished my second book…not really sure what I’m going to start next
2. How many books have you read so far? 2
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? Anything that will help me stay awake through the wee hours of the morning
4. Did you have to make any special arrangements to free up your whole day? I rescheduled my facial and manicure and took Monday off work
5. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? Not this time – although I still feel like I got off to a slow start
6. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? Fewer of my bookfriends participating and less blogging…but that let’s me read more
7. Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year? Some ideas…would love to discuss…really would have like to see the participants posted earlier so I could set up my rss feeds to see others blogs
8. What would you do differently, as a Reader or a Cheerleader, if you were to do this again next year? I think after 3 years…I’ve gotten it down…maybe recruit more friends
9. Are you getting tired yet? Not yet
10. Do you have any tips for other Readers or Cheerleaders, something you think is working well for you that others may not have discovered? Pick books that are light, enjoyable reads…that helps me get through the long hours

#Readathon–Book 2 Completed

We are just over half-way through the readathon and I just completed my second book. And John is in the process of cooking a meal that smells fabulous…something about apple stuffed grilled pork chops, grilled eggplant, and rice. And I believe that there is some Jeni’s Salty Caramel ice cream for dessert. Have I mentioned that I love my husband????

Now to decide what to start next…

Title: Darn Good Cowboy Christmas

Author Carolyn Brown

Start: 14:00

End: 20:24

Pages: 384

Description: Born and raised in a traveling carnival, all Liz Hanson ever wanted for Christmas was a home that didn't have wheels. After she was old enough to date she added one more item: a sexy cowboy.

She's about given up on Santa ever bringing either one when her father dies and leaves her an ugly house and twenty acres in Texas. Then rancher Raylen O'Donnell walks onto her property...

Comments:  I’ve loved Brown’s series of contemporary Cowboy romances. The O’Donnell family has been one of my favorites…and I’m looking forward to more.
