The Marriage Mistake
The Marriage Mistake by Jennifer Probst

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

"Marriage is a two-way street. You need to be strong on your own before you can be strong with someone else.”

Caribbean Casanova
Caribbean Casanova by Jenna Bayley-Burke

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Quick easy beach read.

Favorite Line:
“He’s like a comic book villain. Caribbean Casanova, the lethal lothario.” Even Sass couldn’t resist the infectious laughter. “Faster than a bullet with fresh batteries, stronger than Anguilla rum punch.”

Last Chance Knit & Stitch
Last Chance Knit & Stitch by Hope Ramsay

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Enjoyable characters. I really liked Simon while at times I wanted to punch Molly. But family can be annoying and it is hard to not get sucked in to others drama.

A quick enjoyable read. Some back story in the previous books in the series but could be enjoyed without needing to read the previous books.

Review: Red Hot Christmas

Red Hot Christmas
Red Hot Christmas by Jill Sanders

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As a character, I really enjoy Luke...an all around good guy who wants a bad guy reputation. Of course, Amber has him pegged as a "man-boy" but she's been there and done that.

This story doesn't have to be read in order because there is very little of the other residents of Pride Oregon front and center of the story.

Families are complicated these days...and this story reflects that family is so much more than the people we share DNA with.

Maria's Christmas Table
Maria's Christmas Table by M.L. Buchman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A romantic enjoyable story with "mature" characters in the prime of their lives. I'd suggest reading Where Dreams are Born because it really introduces Maria's character.

Peter's Christmas
Peter's Christmas by M.L. Buchman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Peter is probably my favorite Night Stalkers character. He's a down-to-earth POTUS who hasn't lost sight of where he came from. And I like that Genny is a strong, independent woman. Just what Peter needs.

Also, having traveled in SE Asia, I enjoyed the references to places that I have traveled.

Moonlight Kiss
Moonlight Kiss by Luann McLane

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A quick enjoyable read. I enjoy the Cricket Creek series but this one wasn't really my favorite. It was a little predictable (Rick) and I didn't really connect with Addison. Who goes on vacation then makes it a permanent move and opens a business within moments?

It isn't really necessary to read these stories in order.

Rumor Has It
Rumor Has It by Jill Shalvis

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is FULL of useful facts and scientific information. Oh, and it is an enjoyable story as well.

Science Lesson
“He told me that when a male honeybee mates, its testicles explode and the penis is left inside the queen bee.”

Good to Know
“Having sex is three times more effective as a pain reflector than a morphine dose.”

Now you know why I do...another reason to do Downward Facing Dog
“Yoga can alleviate both the cause and the symptom of physiological stressors.”

Born Wild
Born Wild by Julie Ann Walker

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I always enjoy the BKI stories the characters are nicely developed. The character development usually happens over several stories so I recommend reading the books in order. Of course, good character development always leaves me wondering what is next. So looking forward to #6.

The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap
The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap by Donna Kauffman

This book also contains recipes and lots of other great tips. And it is an entertaining read, too.

Cooking Tip
The textbook method of submerging pomegranates in cold water so the seeds could gently separate from the pith was time-consuming as hell.

Favorite Lines
"You man, me woman, we mate like bunnies. Then you leave cave and me with big smile on my face."

Something to aspire to:
“They did most everything together,” he mused. “They had their own lives during the day, but come six o’clock, they were inseparable. Weekends, they were one person.”
“They didn’t take each other for granted.”
